How is this different from Arweave or Filecoin?

Tapedrive is native to Solana and is built to be accessed inside Solana workflows. Incentives prioritize useful activity like writes and serving data rather than paying only for replication.

IPFS is a content-addressing protocol without built-in economic persistence. Tapedrive anchors data on chain and adds incentives for ongoing storage and retrieval.

S3 is centralized and trust-based. Tapedrive is decentralized and verifiable, designed to compose directly with on-chain applications.

Pricing is being designed to scale with usage and object size. Exact rates will be published with testnet details.

Anyone with reliable bandwidth, disk space, and a modern CPU. No specialized hardware is required.

This is cool. One suggestion at the pitch level: lean into the severity of the problem, ie are Solana devs actually paying for storage today? If not, why is that a real pain point worth solving?

I definitely didn’t already pipe the entire agave source code through ~22,000 transactions on mainnet. That would be crazy

Seems wildly inefficient tbh

man the more i read about it the more i love it good job this is needed i will integrate it into my indexer rindexol so we'll have all solana history indexes there and saved properly with realtime ohlcv

BTW, I've been eyeing @tapedrive_io for a bit and will try to run a miner sometime in the future. Gotta juggle with some stuff first but it's in my roadmap. I'll probably DM you for help!
